The Catcher in The Rye;
--Inspired me to write my first short fiction piece at the age of 16. It was 48 pages long, single spaced, riddled with descriptive sentences, metaphor, and a creative technique that carries two plot lines simultaneously through one story which I believe is rare for a first time writer in high school. The Story was titled "A Night With Her." After reading it, my English teacher asked me, "Have you ever published any works before?" This was the first time I considered that I may have a talent for The Written Word.
